WHO AM I...?
I was born in Istanbul in 1978. I studied motor and automotive in high school and mechanical technology in university, but I dropped out of university. I can say that I am very well equipped in technical knowledge and drawing. I became a technical and mechanical expert in BMW cars, I established my own business and did this job for 15 years, but although it was financially good, I started not to enjoy this job and closed my business.
The answer to the question of why I started or want to do this job is below.
I did not study at any art school, but since my childhood I have been very interested in artistic products and antiques, especially metal ones.
My family's profession was to produce decorative products from brass, and these products generally consisted of chandeliers, candlesticks, animal figures and objects placed on the table. My grandfather and father did this job for almost 100 years. In short, it is in my DNA. The design would come to them, they would use their mastery to create molds, prepare the molds for casting and create the final product. I would go to them since my childhood and help them, and during this process I started to learn the profession.
I mean, I was very familiar with metal and the processing of metal materials, but my favorite materials were brass and bronze. Since then, I have been looking at this craft more artistically. Producing less, doing quality and fine workmanship, being careful not to do what everyone else is doing, and especially trying to create designs that you yourself like and say yes to.
